Welcome!
Whether you are from within the university, or out in the state, or even beyond Georgia's boundaries, this is the place to find out about environmental resources and activities at the University of Georgia.
Our specific objectives are to:
Develop and support faculty interest groups to focus expertise in core environmental areas and provide a venue for interdisciplinary interaction,
Develop interdisciplinary research within and beyond the university aimed at environmental problems,
Promote excellence in undergraduate and graduate training programs in the environment, and to
Develop and maintain a highly visible and up-to-date information and contact center on environmental education, research, outreach and public service at the University.
Our Mission
The Academy is faculty-driven. Its mission is to address the complex, interdisciplinary environmental issues facing modern society by facilitating interactions across traditional academic disciplines, offering interdisciplinary training programs, and coordinating environmental research andn service programs across department, school and college lines.
